Mounting the intimate word as exposed image : emotion and thought the filmmaker .

We asked the professor of audiovisual communication and film programmer Gonzalo de Lucas to make us a prologue and an overview of the presence of letters in the history of film and moving image. He answered us with a session based on the assembly of fragments that serve to expose his thesis on the filmed correspondence.

“This session will show how certain films and filmmakers mapped emotion and creative or personal reflections through filmed letters. Since some sentimental fictions representing the intimacy of writing or literary word to those films that constitute themselves as film cards. From emotion to thought, from gesture to the voice of the filmmaker, we will see ways to make visible the intimat , desire, creative and vital questions, portraits and self-portraits, I and you”.
