Birgit Hein (Berlin, 1942) is a crucial author in the construction of an alternative film scene in Germany in the sixties. Her films are defined as ground-breaking, powerful, violent and sexualised. In this case, we are presenting one of her most famous documentaries: a travel diary of the director to Jamaica at a time of life crisis, induced by desire and the fear of loneliness and old age.
