Jone San Martin. Nowhere and everywhere at the same time

The local artist brought an installation by William Forsythe and another by Ryoji Ikeda to her home town. Both were located facing the other, and both emphasised the same concept: the conscience of the body in space. Forsythe, one of the most famous choreographers in the world, presented ‘Nowhere and Everywhere at the Same Time No 4’ in a space that, initially, seems impossible to cross: a room full of hundreds of pendulums, hanging from the ceiling to the floor. Visitors were free to walk around the room, but they had to try no to touch the oscillating pendulums. Forsythe invited the audience to become unexpected dancers, as they had to concentrate on the movement of the body, in order to cross his choreographic installation.
