TEMPLETON goes beyond bright pop song writing, and follows new paths decorated with enigmatic psychedelia, rhythmic arrangements and patterns that take us to the 80s: sequencers, shiny synthesizers, guitars blown with distortion and chorus to take us back. Here, we can see works produced by Lou Reed and Talking Heads in the ‘70s, and Moroder’s sonic atmospheres from the 80s, in the list of sound references in this album. There are also those closer to home: Radio Futura, the yeyé tradition and, moreover, the light song rooted in Spain. However, all of them have been adapted, through the contemporary and personal dynamic built by Templeton’s special music universe.
