Continuing down the path forged last year, the 2022 Erro(re)tik seminar will once again be an exercise in deviating from supposedly comfortable spaces, or at least exposing what they lack. This meeting is imagined as an opportunity for critical learning through error, conceived through responsibility, desire, and the need to build a welcoming, open, and multi-form cultural institution where we all belong.

The seminar will take place between 12 and 14 May, and will be one of the most visible moments of a project we started in 2020. With assistance from the Carasso Foundation, the endeavour is founded on three pillars: internal Tabakalera team training, the open UNIK work and creation group, and the seminar itself. The latter is a space for reflection and dialogue, which we will now present in its second edition. It is a place for doing something together through our differences. It is a place to be, share, and explore alliances between communities, institutions, and at-risk and vulnerable individuals, standing up for dissent and care to generate more equitable relationships.

This year, we aim to highlight intersectionality, or the interconnection between different axes of inequality and/or discrimination, which are not independent of each other. We are focusing on the need to create spaces that are broad enough to produce these intended meetings and connections between different groups, and our responsibility to change perceptions of differences through error and deviation. We are putting a spotlight on the urgency to question dominant forces, through error and to the core.
