Sister of another mama

The main topic of the ‘Sister of Another Mama’ project was the written media. That media are linked to the selection of contents, the work behind that, virtual spaces and a conflict of interests, and those are more and more conditioned. Editorial offices, thinking workshops and labs are often very limited. Thus, nowadays, it might seem that a paper publication is outdated, and that it doesn’t reach the younger citizens, for example. However, their goal as an artistic group was not to change the way that journalists work, or to provide a more truthful image of the social and economic problems in the world. On the contrary, they wanted to create more confusion. They created a work group with young local artists, and they reflected the small personal stories brought by that group through various artistic languages. The goal of this art work was to bring up more questions. The results were a publication and a performance. The performance was presented at Nestor Basterretxea square, next to Tabakalera.
