Four translators spent six months in the Basque Country, in order to take an intensive Basque language course. The goal was to achieve the linguistic ability to use Basque as a bridge or source language in their future translations. Translators Laura Liubinavicivte (Lithuania), Mariya Petrova (Bulgaria), Barbara Pregelj (Slovenia) and Katarzyna Sosnowska (Poland) participated in these residencies. The following translators participated in the June residencies: Merilin Kotta (Estonia), Karina Mishchenkova (Russia), Lenka Niznanska (Czech Republic) and Matylda Figlerowicz (Poland). All the residencies took place at the Zornotzako Barnetegia.
