Gazteen sukaldaritza lehiaketa = Concurso de cocina de jóvenes = Young people cooking contest
Teenagers aged between 12 and 16 prepared innovative dishes, taking their grandparents’ traditional recipes as the starting point. These teens worked in groups and learned how to move in the kitchen, in order to present very creative gastronomic proposals. After choosing their grandparent’s recipes, the teenagers had to transform and rewrite them, justifying their decision. Afterwards, they recorded a 3-6 minute video and had to upload it to YouTube, explaining the recipe step by step, as well as the products and tools they used. 9 groups were chosen as the winners and, on June 11th, they had the chance to prepare their recipes live at the award ceremony that took place at the Basque Culinary Center, for the guests to taste them.
