Material berrien iraultza = La revolución de los nuevos materiales

The Basque Country has been a pioneer in the technological development of new and regular materials, and it still is. For example, in the development of iron, steel and plastics. In that context, this conference wanted to show the economic, social, scientific and technological impact of developing new materials in our society. In order to do so, the goal of the conference was to analyse the influence of materials on economic development and the creation of jobs, as well as their impact on social welfare. The conference, coordinated by experts Carmen Mijangos and Juan Colmenero, was divided into two sessions; the first one took place on May 4th, at the San Telmo Museum, and the second one was held on May 5th, at the Chillida Lantoki.
