The first riverbed called ‘Water is a common property’ led to a political and anthropological reflection on water-related problems. During recent decades, water-related problems have brought up, among others, issues regarding the relationship between political organisation and land planning, public management, democracy and natural resources. Also, movements for the defence of common goods and municipalities that dismiss privatisation policies and the commercialisation of water. In this first riverbed, we found a workshop directed by Peter Cusack and a conference by Annea Lockwood, among others.
