Beste Hitzak-Other Words was the network for the literary exchange among the small or minority languages of Europe (Ireland, Macedonia, Slovenia, Friesland and the Basque Country participate in this network), and the main foundation of this project were the residencies for literary creation. In the first residency, the Basque writer went to Slovenia, and the Macedonian writer came to the Basque Country from March to June. In the second residency, the Frisian writer went to Macedonia, and the Slovenian writer went to Ireland from June to August. In the third residency, the Macedonian writer went to Friesland, the Slovenian writer went to Macedonia, and the Basque writer went to Ireland, from September to November. In the fourth residency, the Irish writer went to Slovenia, and the Frisian writer went to the Basque Country from October to December.
