Disonantzia soziala = Disonancia social = Social dissonance

Social Dissonance is a score with instructions conceived by the artist Mattin (Getxo, 1977) and realised by four performers as part of an extensive concert during the Documenta 14 exhibition in Athens (Greece) and Kassel (Germany).

The concert in Athens will be held between April 6th and July 16th 2017, and its counterpart in Kassel from June 8th to September 17th. Between June 8th and July 16th the concerts will take place simultaneously in Athens and Kassel, with two performers in each location. The four performers will then continue the concert in Kassel until September 17th.

The extensive concert — with an emphasis that shifts between sound and social elements — will be streamed on the Periscope app and can be watched on this screen. This live broadcast is part of Out of Sync (music and revolutions), a programme that uses recitals, conferences and concerts to explore music’s unexpected energy, posing a critical reflection on a time which has been reduced to what is measurable and uniform.
