Cider and modernity: the oceanic crossing of countryside cultures 

Cycle of talks 

Cider was the bridge between country life and the ocean wanderings of fisherman in the Basque Country. It’s a metabolic gateway allowing us to reflect on the link between rural cultures and the global traffic of people and goods. 

Cider and the apple tree bring us closer to the history of the last few centuries through the material and cultural stimulants that have lubricated the perpetual movement of the wheels of modernity.
