Letters are images: curved in neon, carved in wood or drawn with ink, making letters by hand is a trade that has long been an essential part of our visual culture and language.

This workshop is an introduction to several techniques and concepts related to lettering. Through a series of exercises we will play with different tools and styles of drawn letters. We will come to understand what lettering is and how to create a logo, a sign or even a typeface.
