What we see, what's out there, nature, the environment, what can be represented, what has been observed... The definition of "landscape" in contemporary artistic practice includes the classical definition of what has historically been understood by landscape, but at the same time includes all its opposites: what we don't see, what's inside, the unnatural, the peripheral, the invisible, the felt... The landscape is now anti-landscape, drift, conflict and non-place. A mountain is not just a mountain now.

The 03/04 programme prompts a reflection on the representation of the environment that surrounds us through the work of various artists who will appear throughout March and April. Projections, meetings, workshops and seminars, now that the mountain has become a domestic space, now that the wilderness is artificial at the same time, now that we're there, in the middle of an incompressible space, "shaken to the core".
