The second public session of the Geographies and Forms of Powerresearch project is an extension of the one carried out in November, where architecture is observed as a constructive entity that exerts violence on bodies. On this occasion, the invisible lines that are established between spatial and territorial decisions as a form of power and control and their consequences for bodies will be drawn.
11:00-14:00. Round table
Speakers: Iñaki Gracenea, Arantza Santesteban and Antonio Giráldez.
“In-corporated” architecture. The silent and invisible violences exerted by architecture are permeable and powerful, and act on our bodies. How can we name them, represent them and make them visible? How do they operate and condition our everyday lives and perception of the urban and cohabitational space?
16:00 -19:00. Round table
Speakers: Marina Otero and Joseba Zulaika.
The territory is a space of conquest to exert control and power. It is also the best reflection of policies based on large infrastructures and new technologies that create maps of power and different forms of violence at all scales of our lives.
