Astronomia hiritarra = Astronomía ciudadana = Citizen astronomy

An open group in collaboration with the Astronomy Department of the Aranzadi Sciences Society that will discuss topics related to astronomy from the perspective of a member of the public. The group was started during the public astronomy sessions held at Hirikilabs in August, coinciding with the Perseid maximum.

The first project proposed by the group is entitled Astronomy for the Blind, although it is designed for all types of attendees whether they have vision problems or not. What is different about the session is that the objects constructed in it, in addition to being seen, must be able to and / or must be perceived through other senses such as hearing or touch.

The starting point is to design a system of panels that form a set in which a certain number of constellations, the Ecliptic and the celestial equator are represented.

The group meets every Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hirikilabs.
