Zoom. Bideo laborategia 2015-2017

ZOOM. Bideo laborategia emerges from the work carried out within the framework of the Ikusten-Ikasten sessions I and II. It is related to the need to incorporate contemporary artistic practices in general and in particular audiovisual practices to education from the programmatical perspective of Tabakalera. One of the key matters that arose during both encounters was the urgency of working on the audiovisual as a classroom learning tool, as taking into account the diversity of audiovisual resources within our reach it seems clear, on the one hand, that young people do not produce as much visual culture as it may seem, and on the other, that they generally resort to mainstream references and make productions that do not differ much from the purely commercial. For this reason, we have decided to start a programme that is based on the personal experiences of the pupils to link them to our specificity, in particular to the first exhibition that we will hold starting in September.

We have set up a first experience with pupils from IES Usandizaga, activating two different groups: one linked to the Photography Workshop subject, held inside the classroom, and the second, optional, is a group that meets in Sukaldea. For the time being the design of ZOOM proposes a series of thematic sessions that will be completed with proposals by the young participants. One of the horizons that we have set as an important milestone is the exhibition with which we will inaugurate the new headquarters. Among all the people involved in ZOOM, we will decide what type of contribution we want to make within this framework.
