How are they, public spaces that adjoin our school? How to transform the relationship between the school and the neighborhood?
"City, education and collaborative practices" is a open call to develop art and education projects in the spaces of educational centers, the neighborhood, the city or the town.
FRAMEWORK -CONTEXT In recent years, thanks to projects such as "The city of children", concepts such as citizenship, citizen participation, school and education are understood in a broader manner. Public space, street, square, neighborhood, school, etc. they have become spaces of work and context for the development of artistic education projects, offering opportunities for social change.
In this sense, the cultural project of Tabakalera, through the area of mediation, proposes to join these processes and work on cultural production together with the educational community. We believe that contemporary culture and artistic practices are tools and unbeatable areas for research and development of learning processes and creative alternatives, and this will be one of the characteristics of our project.
BACKGROUND
Among the background of this call is the line of "Pedagogies and Public Space" developed from the mediation area and the pilot project "Auzoko Hitzak" (Auzoko Hitzak is a participatory project developed during the 2014-15 academic year in collaboration with three Egia schools and other neighborhood collectives).
In this process, we have detected the need to strengthen the educational community. Therefore, the main objective of this call focuses on investigating the existing relationships between the school community and its environment, to promote its strengthening. For this we will use dynamics of cultural production.
