Niño de Elche and Xabier Erkizia

To mark the inauguration of the sound installation “La pena y el alivio” (“Sorrow and relief”) by El Niño de Elche in Scala, the artist together with the musician Xabier Erkizia will talk about the process of creating this piece, interspersing the talk with sound samples, poems and images that have accompanied them in this experience.

Scala is a sound exhibition housed by the main staircase of the building. It intends to explore the countless languages and means of approaching music and sound by generating new and unexpected interactions between the sonic pieces and an architectural space used by a heterogeneous and mobile public.
