Udazkeneko erakusketen irekiera = Apertura de las exposiciones de otoño = Opening of the autumn exhibitions

Both exhibitions analyse the relationship between film and art: the former proposes itineraries that focus on film and video art, which are joined by other disciplines such as photography, installation, painting and sculpture, etc. and the latter explores the limits between film and literature through the filmic and literary work of a cultural icon such as Kraus.

In addition, the opening of the exhibitions kicks off Irekiak Gallery Weekend, a weekend in which contemporary art will take centre stage in the city. From 10 to 12 September, Irekiak Gallery Weekend will mark the joint opening of the contemporary art exhibition season, with seven exhibitions in the six galleries that make up the Dagge association: Altxerri, Arteko, Arteztu. Cibrián, Ekain and Kur.

The initiative will culminate with the projection on the façade of the Kursaal Conference Centre of Crimson Waves, a large digital artwork that the San Sebastian artist Jaime de los Ríos has created at Medialab-Tabakalera. The installation lasts 35 minutes and will be activated from 8:30 pm to 01:00 am on 10, 11 and 12 September.
