Yella, Christian Petzold, Germany, 2007, 89’

Yella (Nina Hoss), determined not to give up on her dreams, leaves a violent and possessive husband to find a more promising job and a new life as an accountant. After a failed start, Philipp, an unscrupulous young executive, asks her to help him with his tough negotiations with struggling companies. Yella does very well and the two continue to work together. However, her past continues to haunt her.
