Alvin Lucierren Chambers perfomancea = Performance Chambers de Alvin Lucier = Performance Chambers by Alvin Lucier

Chambers (1968) by Alvin Lucier is a piece for “moving large and small resonant environments.” In this performance, we will give to hear an imbrication of spaces and functions, of sites and positions, as many chambers susceptible to start resonating with the others. But listening to an environment through another one involves renewing his or her relation to listening. It is not so much a question here of listening to an object, a subject or an event, but a relation, to grasp the listening itself as a relation becoming attached to “simple or complex relationships.”
This performance is the result of the WORKSHOP held on 3, 4 and 5 February directed by Matthieu Saladin.
For this activation of Chambers, the locations of following support institutions, companies and other collaborators of Tabakalera have been recorded: San Sebastian City Council, Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa, Gobierno Vasco, Banco Sabadell, Cervezas San Miguel, Café Baqué, Insalus, Etxepare Euskal Institutua, Kutxa Fundazioa, Institut Français. These recordings are played inside the personal objects or various items coming from the offices of Tabakalera’s staff.
