Call for projects targeted at the educational community

What sort of relationship would we like have with our immediate community? What are the public spaces inside and outside the school like? How do these spaces condition and regulate everyday our relations? 

"School peripheries" is a call for projects, which is intended to help develop a collaborative art and education project in school, district and city spaces. It offers an opportunity to rethink the way we work and implement learning processes that help reinforce the educational community.

In recent years, projects such as La ciudad de los niños [City of Children], have helped broaden our understanding of concepts such as citizenship, citizen participation, school and education. Street, squares, districts, schools, etc. have all been turned into working spaces and a context for developing art education projects, offering opportunities that will foster social transformation.

Tabakalera's cultural project, which is developed by its Mediation Area, seeks to promote educational projects and experimental processes in which contemporary culture and artistic practice can act as tools for reflection, learning processes and the development of creative alternatives.
