Time machine soup

Jorge Oteiza said that only 80 grandmothers stand between us and life in the caves. Time Machine Soup is inspired by this statement which features in his book Quousque Tandem...! and aims to create a time machine that promises a fascinating journey through European history with soup as the common thread. From the instant soup of today to the hypothetical first broth boiled in the caves, travellers will taste twelve soups, one for each hour of the clock, pausing at other historical moments that have marked the future of the old continent. In this unique event, gastronomy transcends its role as a source of pleasure and nutrition to pursue its more anthropological facet through a careful staging that brings together literature, audiovisual arts, anthropology, gastronomy and history. By stimulating the five senses, participants are taken on a journey where you just need to let yourself go and feel in order to explore the past.
