Itzultzaile berriak = Nuevos traductores = New translators = Nouveaux traducteurs

Through this project, various foreign translators will be learning Basque and translating a work of Basque literature into a language that is not Spanish. It is an initiative designed to disseminate within Europe literary works written in Basque. The project seeks to enable people who do not speak Basque to enjoy the literature in this language, which will see its horizons broadened.

Afterwards, a workshop will be organised for the translators and the Basque writers so that they can set up networks with each other. The translators who have learnt Basque will be talking about their experience in seminars open to the public and as part of a specific programme with translators. This project will mean that Basque literature will no longer have any frontiers in Europe.
