After numerous active agents from the surrounding urban art scene have been formally invited, an artistic commission made up of seven representatives will work together to design and manage how this area will be reflected within the DSS2016EU cultural programme. It is a clear example of the working methods that DSS2106EU hopes to encourage, promoting participative processes with the goal of strengthening networks and facilitating collaboration between different agents in the region. The DSS2016EU team will lend its support on this task. Street tARTar reclaims the use and transformation of public space in order to form a more creative society. The programme will feature hip-hop, urban intervention and parkour, along with other forms of expression which are associated with urban art. Training individuals in this sphere will be a major part of the programme, but exhibitions and live performances from all disciplines will also be on offer. The commission will also boost social inclusion, the empowerment of women and the use of the Basque language in this cultural arena.
