Open call for long-term projects

School Peripheries is an annual call geared towards developing a collaborative art and education project in school, neighbourhood or city spaces. It is an opportunity to rethink ways of working and to set long-term learning processes in motion which strengthen alliances with the education community.

Throughout the 2017/18 school year a new modality (B) has been added which is aimed at schools in Gipuzkoa. The following projects will be taken forward during the 2017/18 session:

• Modality A (Donostialdea): Harremangune Berri baterantz, submitted by the Txirrita de Ereñotzu school (Hernani), and which proposes a rethink of the school playground. Starting with the question “What type of school do we want to inhabit?”, the project will reflect on the relationships and attachments which arise in the school space.

• Modality B (Gipuzkoa): Almeneko Eskola Bidea, from Ikastola Arizmendi (Eskoriatza), arises from the need to encourage physical activity and our relationship with the natural environment and our surroundings, and actively encourages walking to school.
